Official tennis ball testing requires an expensive testing apparatus to prove a ball’s adherence to regulation quality standards. It cannot be done on the tennis court.
SSI wanted a portable, yet reliable testing device for professional and hobby players for on-the-court use.
I engineered and designed a mechanical device for ‘official’ testing and had a proof-of-concept prototype built. I also designed a consumer concept based on the prototype, which is designed for easy, error-free use. A 3D-printed prototype was created to demonstrate the product.
